Parking Authority
The Borough of Aspinwall is committed to enhancing parking solutions for our community. We understand the importance of accessible parking and are taking steps ensure that residents and visitors have ample options. Our goal is to create a convenient and efficient parking experience that meets the needs of everyone in Aspinwall. Thank you for your support as we work towards this essential initiative.
Residential Parking
Apinwall residents can receive a parking sticker for each of their vehicles. This initiative helps to keep non residents from parking in "resident only" parking zones and helps police and emergency services identify and locate residents in case of an emergency. To obtain a sticker, simply bring your updated vehicle registration to the borough building. Guest passes are also available upon request and are digitally attached to the resident's account.
Municipal Parking
Enjoy convenient metered parking available from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Saturday. You can find parking along Commercial Avenue, the 200 block of First Street, Brilliant Avenue, Loop Street, Freeport Road, and in the municipal lot located on Freeport Road. Meters charge a rate of $0.25 for every half hour when using coins. For added convenience, you can also use the ParkMobile app on your smartphone or mobile device.
Merchant Parking
Welcome to the Merchant Parking information for Aspinwall. Our parking lot is designed for the convenience of Aspinwall's merchants and their employees, located on the left side of River Avenue, just over the railroad tracks. Each parking contract is available for $125.00 per hang tag per year. For those exceptionally busy days, we also offer overflow parking at the Allegheny River Trail Park parking lot.
Handicap Parking Services
In Pennsylvania, handicap parking is regulated to ensure accessible parking for individuals with disabilities. Handicap parking permits (placards or license plates) are issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) to those who qualify due to limited mobility or other disabilities. Parking in designated handicap spaces without a valid permit is a serious offense with fines ranging from $50 to $200. Aspinwall is dedicated to helping our residents with physical disabilities. We offer an application of handicap parking to residents that meet the requirements of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Below are links to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for applications for placards and also for Aspinwall parking space. Aspinwall spaces that are requested are not specified to one owner. Anyone can park in a handicap space as long as they have a state issued placard. Also not every request can be considered due to the limited street parking of Aspinwall. Each request is investigated and approved on an individual basis.
When you're on the go, the free ParkMobile app makes it easy to find and pay for parking without running back to feed the meter. Enter the zone number posted on signs around the parking meter in the ParkMobile parking app. Select the amount of time you want to park and start your session. You will get alerts when time is about to expire so you can extend your parking session.
